KIDS 4 KIDS Carnival NYC

I'm very excited to announce that I've been invited to perform again at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's "Kids 4 Kids" Carnival in New York City! This will be my FOURTH appearance at the carnival and it's always exciting and a lot of fun. The event is a fundraiser for an important cause, plus it's a chance to meet a lot of nice people and interact with some very cool people. In past years I've had the pleasure of meeting such celebrities as Peter Boyle, James Gandolfini, Julianne Moore, Whoopi Goldberg and many others. I'm honored to once again be invited to work among these wonderful and giving VIPS!

Make the Most of What's Left

Where has the summer gone? Seems like just yesterday I was looking out the window into my snow-filled back yard, longing for the days when I could relax on my swing and read a book....now it's almost time for the cold weather again.
Here in New England summers go by really fast, so you've got to make the most of them while they're here. I'm always on the go in the summer, with lots and lots of shows all over the place, but I still try to make time to stop and enjoy the season. Even if, like yesterday, I just take 10 minutes before I go into the house to walk around the yard and enjoy what's going on in my gardens.
We've had a very rainy summer, so there haven't been a lot of chances to sit on the swing when I've been home, but I have managed to get out there a few times. That's always a nice time for me, especially when Louisa joins me out there.
Anyhow, I've still got a lot of concerts to look forward to during the coming weeks. I'm returning to the Henniker Chili Fest this year, and this year I'll be sure to wait until AFTER the show to sample the goods! That's going to be on Sunday, August 24th. Check out all the stuff that's happening at the festival by visiting here: www.chilinewhampshire.org.
I want to say a special thanks to all those who came out to the Goffstown Main Street concert last week. I was sooooooo disappointed by the rain, but we were fortunate to be able to hold the concert in St. Matthew's church (thank you, Fr. Bill!) and though the crowd was smaller than usual, we did have a good time. I was hoping to gather a lot of stuff for the Goffstown Food Pantry, but because I think a lot of folks assumed the concert was cancelled, we only got a few donations. THANK YOU to those who did bring things to donate, and to every one else in the area, please remember that the Pantry is in need of non-perishables, especially personal items such as toothpaste and deodorant. When you go shopping, especially when there's a sale, please try to pick up one or two extra items for the food pantry in your town. Spending an extra couple bucks to help out those less fortunate will hardly make a blip on your grocery bill but could really be a boost to someone who is down on their luck.

Well, now I'm kinda rambling so I'll just sign off with this reminder that the Hillsborough County Fair in New Boston is coming up the weekend after Labor Day, and I hope to see you there!
Enjoy what's left of summer!!!
