One more date on Oldies 103.3

Almost forgot...I've got one more date to add to the schedule of dates that you can hear me on Oldies 103.3....
Saturday, September 1 from 2-7pm.

I really appreciate the emails from those of you who enjoy listening to me on the air. I really enjoy playing the oldies, the music I grew up with!

Inspiration

This morning I am still dancing after seeing Taylor Hicks, the 2006 American Idol, in concert last night. He was terrific!!
What I love about him is his total commitment to the music...he has music in every cell in his body, and when he performs it all just comes blasting out of him in his singing and dancing and playing. While his voice might not compare to that of, say, Tom Jones (boy, I'm really dating myself now) I would compare his energy and appeal to that of Mr. Jones. And I guarantee that every woman in that audience felt like she was 17 again! They were up dancing and singing along and they weren't thinking about their jobs, their bills or their housework. And no matter what shape or size they were, they weren't worried about what anyone else thought of them. Thank you, Taylor Hicks!
Taylor Hicks inspires me because that's the kind of effect I want to have with the children in my audience. When they are at a Judy Pancoast concert I don't want them to be thinking about any of their troubles (and yes, little kids do have troubles...). I especially don't want the older kids in the audience to be concerned that if they dance or sing or otherwise participate that they won't be cool. I want children of all shapes, sizes and ages to feel free to get up and dance and sing and throw their troubles and their cares and their worries about whether or not they are "cool" away. Just be koo-koo!
Taylor Hicks, welcome to the koo-koo club!!

Planet Christmas

Wow....Summer has just zoomed by, and it probably feels that way because I've been traveling so much. In the last three weeks I have done concerts in Virginia, South Carolina, Maine, New Hampshire, and Tennessee. It's been a lot of fun and I've met so many terrific new friends along the way. Thank you to everyone who has come out to see me and to all the great kids who have clapped, sung, danced like Elvis and gone swimming in Jello with me!

This past weekend I attended the most amazing event...the Planet Christmas Lights Up Seminar in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This was a wonderful gathering of holiday decorating enthusiasts from all over the world, and I was invited to perform songs from my Christmas CD, "The House on Christmas Street" at the closing banquet celebration. I cannot describe to you how thrilling it was to sing that title song for hundreds of people who go to amazing lengths to make their own homes "The House on Christmas Street" in their towns each year. The support and encouragement these folks gave me has inspired me to once again distribute the CD to radio stations all over the country who play Christmas music 24/7 during the holiday season, and hope that they will add the song to their playlists. If you know of any stations like this in your area, please let me know so that I can send them a copy of the CD.

By the way, if you are really into decorating your home for the holidays, you should check out www.planetchristmas.com to network with some delightful people, become informed about the latest technology and get hot tips for making your display the best ever.

Well, I've got to hit the sack and gear up as the wild summer concert schedule continues tomorrow, but before I go, here are the latest dates/times for my upcoming shows on Oldies 103.3 in Boston:
Saturday, August 18 2-7pm
Monday, September 3 6-9pm
