Indy Rides Again!

Hi...I hope you had a safe and happy Memorial Day Weekend. Philip and I honored our fathers with a trip up to the Veteran's Cementary in Maine to clean up their burial sites and say a few words. It was very hard but I'm glad we did it. I can hardly believe it's been ten years since my father passed away. I was very close to him and I would say he's probably the biggest reason why I have always loved to sing. He used to sing to me when I was very young, and as I got older I'd accompany him to church and he'd whisper "Sing louder, Judy!" into my ear during the hymns. Now that's when I feel closest to him...when I'm singing hymns in church.

Anyhow, we did do some fun stuff this weekend, and, to me, the best was going to see the new Indiana Jones movie. I had high hopes for it, being a fan (mostly of the original which is still the best) and I was not disappointed! I was DELIGHTED with the return of actress Karen Allen, who has given up acting full time to knit sweaters in the Berkshires. She was terrific as Indy's old flame Marion, who hasn't been seen since the first movie. Harrison Ford was great as the aging lead character, and we all loved Shia LeBeouf too. If you are an Indy fan I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.
Let me know what you think when you see it!

The New Judy Crew

I'm very excited about the new Judy Crew teen dance team that is now in rehearsals for our summer shows. We auditioned back in March and found a great bunch of talented kids who are working hard to learn the routines in time for June. If you plan to attend one of my summer concerts, be sure to keep an eye out for them, because after they dance on stage they'll be heading out into the audience to dance with your children! Look for the new Judy Crew page on this website soon to find out more about each member and see their pictures, too!

Judy at the Drive-In

I have been busily preparing for another great summer of touring, having fun and meeting lots of people, but perhaps the thing I am the most excited about is that I have been invited to be a part of the Summer-Long 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Milford Drive-In in Milford, NH. Drive-Ins are a dying breed, and we are fortunate to have a few still up and running here in the Granite State. I'm a drive-in girl from way back....my parents used to pile us into the car in our PJs to go to shows at the Winslow Drive-In in Maine, and, in fact, that was where I had my very first job in the summer of 1976. So I was thrilled when the Drive-In contacted me and asked me to come play there this summer before the family features.
My first weekend will be Friday and Saturday, June 6 & 7, and I'll be performing at Screen One before the new Jack Black movie, Kung Fu Panda. My concert will start at 7:30 and will last for 45 minutes, then you'll have time to go to the concession stand and stock up on goodies, settle in and watch the show.
I hope you'll bring the kids and come out for a lot of good old fashioned fun!!
See you at the Drive-In!!
